Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Augustus (the “Service”), operated by Augustus (“we,” “us”). By creating a workspace or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent (“you”).

1. The Service

Augustus is an operations agent. You describe a business process in plain language; Augustus audits it, connects to the tools you authorize, and — with your approval — runs that process on your behalf. You are responsible for the processes you create, the systems you connect, and the actions you approve.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your workspace, including that of teammates you invite. You must be authorized to connect any third-party system you add to your workspace.

3. Connected systems and authorization

When you connect a tool or add a credential to your Environment, you authorize Augustus to use it to read data and, where you approve, to perform actions in that system. Irreversible actions (such as sending messages or moving money) are held for your explicit approval. You may revoke any connection or pause the agent at any time. You represent that you have the right to grant this access.

4. Human-in-the-loop; no warranty of outcomes

Augustus is designed to keep you in control: it previews changes, gates risky actions, and can undo reversible ones. Nevertheless, automated systems can err. You are responsible for reviewing proposed actions before approving them. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we do not warrant that any process will be error-free or achieve a particular result.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, send spam or unlawful communications, or attempt to breach the security or tenant isolation of the platform. You may not use the Service to make automated decisions that you are not permitted to make in the connected systems.

6. Fees and billing

Building and testing a system is free. Once a system is live, you pay 25 cents per completed task (one successful live run). Completed tasks accrue and are invoiced weekly through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method for tasks completed. A per-workspace spend cap pauses the agent before it exceeds your configured budget.

7. Your data

You retain all rights to your data and the data in your connected systems. Our handling of it is described in the Privacy Policy and, for business customers, the Data Processing Addendum. You may export or delete your workspace data at any time.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the platform. On termination, live systems stop and connected credentials are revoked.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for actions taken by the agent that you approved. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-product or by email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
